more fans and a positive viewpoint.
RELEVANCE: Relevance refers to giving
your clients what they want. The first step to
succeeding in this is asking them what they want. The
next step is implementing their feedback into your
marketing. The media landscape today is fragmented
(and so is your client base), so learn who they are,
and what they are looking for. It may be more upfront
work, but it will be beneficial in the long run.
REVENUE: In making sure that you are
Transparent in the marketplace and relevant in your
message, you must also see revenue. If you aren't
seeing revenue, you are doing something wrong.
Remember, 90% of first time communication comes
from written word. So hire a copywriter or take a class,
because on average you only have 2.7 seconds to
gain a new client.
TOP OF MIND: Finally, what we think
Social Marketing does more than anything is help you
to stay at the "Top of (your client's) Mind." If you are
consistent with sending out a message to your clients-
whether it is through Facebook, your Blog or an Email
Newsletter- you are helping keep you (and your
company) at the front of their mind. So, when they do
need you for something, they immediately know who
