Putting a smart-ass spin on this t-shirt company’s branding: to match the personality of fishing fanatics everywhere.
When Smart Ass Fish Company approached us to create their branding, the GDS team was thrilled to be tasked with this opportunity. And, needless to say, Dan—our favorite tall-tale-telling fisherman—was thrilled, as well. After all, it’s not everyday that he gets to create the brand identity for one of his greatest loves and pastimes.
The logo was designed to be fun, exuberant and quirky, and to reflect the bold nature of sportsmen and fishing enthusiasts. These folks are bred a little differently than you and I, but this was second nature for Dan. He tackled this project with gusto—and the result was perfection.
When we integrated Smart Ass Fish Company’s new logo onto their stationery and t-shirt designs, the client was so happy with the design efforts that they tasked us with creating their e-commerce website. The web allowed us even more creative leeway, since we’re given a larger canvas to work with. The GDS creative team really brought the Smart Ass brand to life by creating a fisherman’s oasis—online.
From start to finish, we had a lot of fun working with the client on this project, and this is aptly conveyed in the craftsmanship of the deliverables.
